Couldnt sleep well last night, so I got up around 3:00 and put the finishing touches on a turning a 5 gallon bucket of 223 brass into 300 Whisper/Blackout.
Left the house this morning to the hum of two big Dillon tumblers making it all nice and pretty.
You know I like my coffee sweet in the morning
and I'm crazy about my tea at night
They suspended production on the loaded .308 165gr Interbond I use for Elk hunting. I must have the last 2 boxes in the world or so it feels like. I think the bullets are still available so i should probably think about working up a comparable load in case they don't bring it back like they said they would in an e-mail response.
Then again, it's not like I've had the opportunity to take a shot in three years...

Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."
Loaded up 500 rounds of 9mm and 200 rounds of 45acp.
Right as I was starting, I caught what would have been a squib load. I usually weigh each of the first 5 or 10 powder charges after setting up the press. The first 5 were right on, so then I stopped weighing each one. Using the lee auto disc powder measure, had a couple rounds in a row where the measure sounded a little different, didn't really register until the 3rd or 4th one when I finally I stopped and looked in the case before putting the bullet on, and it had no powder. The sliding part of the measure had bound up, so that it didn't return to it's normal resting position, so more powder couldn't fill the hole. Because I wasn't sure when I had first heard it sound a little different, I got to unload the 15 rounds I had done so far in that batch. Out of 15 that I unloaded, sure enough one finished round also had no powder. I got a small magnetic light to attach under the turret, and started eye-balling the powder before each bullet. I disassembled and cleaned up the moving parts of the measure and didn't have another issue, but kept on eye-balling all the rest of the rounds I loaded. Hopefully I learned my lesson and don't have to catch a squib the hard way.

I got one of the progressive loaders mounted up, adjusted, and tested.
the thing I was most concerned about was the powder charge. This thing has thrown charges that are spot on, and that is fantastic news!
Just doing what I can to stay on this side of the dirt.
Bought a Lee turret at cabelas the other day, ran a batch of 38 and one of 357. Came with the powder measure dilly Bob auto thingy. But I can't stand not double checking stuff. I was running promo powder and every charge was +/- .1
