Got about 400 rounds of 300 Whisper loaded up with Berger 215gn Hybrids and Unique for my bolt gun. Accuracy in testing was pretty good with the Winchester brass. Until now all my bolt gun ammo was Lapua brass and mostly 230gn Bergers.

A huge perk of a bolt gun is you can use a lot more powders because you dont have to worry about getting the rifle to cycle.

De-primed a bunch of .308 and neck-sized, tumbling it again now. Had some issues with the neck-sizer, it suddenly started to buckle cases. I took it all apart, polished some surfaces slightly and re-adjusted everything, all is good again.

Got a new member in to reloading today, explained doing different loads for each gun etc. Focused on basics along with books to ,web sites to visit.
His 1st 100 rds of 45 were a success, using the 550 as his entry to reloading. . Once again the 550 shined, reinforcing why reloaders should have at least one in their collection. Next weekend 9mm.

With the 158 gr XTP loads for my rifles figured out, getting close to my goal of filling one of those small ammo cans up.

Processing LC 43 brass for the .338-06 endeavor. Broken record, I know, but I love this rifle.

Cast a bunch of .45's and .45-70's with the Yeti two nights ago... Nothing quite sets off the tennis elbow like a 5-cavity .45-70 mold block. Mein Gott!

Do you not like anything that ends with -06 Steve?

By golly, I do like the '06 case. It's just right. Plenty of neck, room for big / long bullets without cutting into the powder space, and no stupid unnecessary belt to screw with feeding, bore alignment and kill case life. In my case, 94 - 96% of the speed of the .338 win magnum, 20-25% less powder depending on bullet weight.

Now... to build a 280 Ackley.

My daughter used my 243 reloaded 100 grain soft point to bag her first deer. I used my ar and 53 grain xlc to take a little doe as well. Very happy with the performance of both. I found the xlc and it was a perfect flower with no pieces missing. I won't use the ar for hunting again, I just wanted to be able to say my modern sporting rifle was useful when fudds say they aren't.
