Since Dillon is now carrying a bullet feeder, (even though it's "aftermarket") I figure I'd order one. Given Dillon's high bar, I expect to be happy with it!

The Double Alpha are what I use.

    Setting them up is easy.

Put a new motor in my big Dillon tumbler.

This is motor #3 for this tumbler. The last time I put a new motor in this one was March 2011.

Getting over 5 years of hard use out of this tumblers motor is a win in my book.

Put together a 1050 toolhead to load 300 blackout and cleaned up the 1050. 300 blackout has grown into my favorite cartridge to shoot. Picked up 5k moly coated 220 for subs gonna load those this week

I loaded 10 rounds of 165gr .308 with TAC and 10 rounds of 168 gr with 4064 all in LC11 brass. Laid prone in the floor and shot them for groups at 100 yards out the door. The rifle likes the 4064 with 5 shots in one ragged hole. I decided to break out the Lapua brass Ive had sitting on the shelf for the last 4 years. I loaded 5 with the 4064. Four of the five shots were miss fires. There was a good dent in the primers, just not enough. I called my smith, first he said to set the bullets shallow and basically ram them into the lands. Fireform the brass to the rifle and they would be fine. He then asked the groups the rifle was shooting, and proceded to tell me to quit messing with it and just shoot the LC brass.

I converted all my Dillon 550 and 650 toolheads to locking. Tapped the hole where the retaining pin goes through the toolhead and inserted #4-40 Helicoil inserts. Replaced the pin with #4-40 x 1/2" SHCS. Now the toolhead stays tight up against the top of the press. I was getting seating depth variations on my 550 with precision ammo. I think this will fix it.

I've been doing that for a while on the 550. Been very happy with locking tool heads
