I don't have a load of experience with subs yet, but I did have a load of .300 blk that sounded like a nail gun. When you say Hollywood quiet, are you talking even more quiet than that?

Yup. TimK was amazed, as was I. Quietest centerfire suppressed round I have heard.

Hmmm, I have a bunch of different powders that I'll never use, but Bullseye isn't one of them. Which isn't a big deal, since I have zero projectiles either.

Fast burn rate powders like Bullseye/231/TG wont work in a semi auto. They will be quiet, but you will end up with a pump gun.

For the AR platform, would you go with A1680, or another powder?

I use A1680 for my 300 blk subs and it cycles my ARs.

I tried 5.9-6.5 gns and my rifle did not blow up. No pressure signs such as ejector marks, flattened primer, difficult bolt lift, ect.

As an added bonus, it was Hollywood quiet with my Thunderbeast Dominus. I have heard suppressed 22 rimfires that made more noise.

Now to put some ammo over a chrono and check for accuracy.

    Just random numbers...

    With a 100 yard zero.

About 45 feet of drop at 600 yards and the bullet will take about 2 seconds to get there. The bullet started out around 1050 fps and by the time it got to 600 yards it is still trucking along at just over 900 fps.
With so much open space in the case I?m curious if you get a lot of velocity deviation. Please post chrono data when possible
