I'm sure some here would love to see your build documented.

I went down that rabbit hole, trying to decide if it was worth it.

Given parts/time cost of building one, vs the simplicity of the FA tumbler, I just bought the FA tumbler.

Not always do I make the "right" choice in that regard. Hence why my garage and desk are full of parts, pieces, and tools for projects.

On the low budget, wet tumbler.

Cruise CL for a used, usually under $50 treadmill

    buy and take home.

remove the tread, take anything off not attached to the front / motorized section.

While you're staring at the project buy what ever size plastic ROUND container you want. That's the start

I'll post a few pics of the tumbler i made out of a $40 tm and 6" pvc. IIRC A few pics are somewhere, in the reloading room thread.

Well.... so much for doing it on the cheap.... I bought some stuff from McMaster Carr to speed up the process.

As far as tumbler container, I'm going to use some 6" PVC with appropriate ends.

Modified Dillon Swage tool, ideas thanks to some youtube videos.
The Dillon swage tool has no automatic return mechanism for moving the spindle into final position for swaging.
In the first photo, the underside modifications show the addition of teflon coated (insulated) wire, looped around the spindle nut and a screw drilled/tapped into the handle.

This next photo shows the swager fully engaged in 'swage' mode:

As the swage handle is lowered, the wire/cable pulls the spindle open:

    Finally, swage fully retracted:
