    I went a few times with my father when I was younger back in Texas. It was tons of fun.

    Did it a lot back in Idaho. As most have said get a recurve setup. After shooting compounds for 25 years they suck for bowfishing. You need to be able to snap shoot. Learn to shoot under it. The deeper the carp are the farther under them you need to hold. Its something you will have to develop a feel for. Extremely fun.

    Here is a couple of pigs we stuck the last time I went.

    Bumping an old thread but it's about that time of year. Anyone have any good recommendations other than the main reservoirs? I've been wondering if the areas on the South Platte north of Brighton allow bow fishing.

    My family had land on the Platte where 287 crosses it and we used to bowfish there all summer. It was great fun but not allowed in that area any longer.
