Should have gone on to say
- Knife sits really low in my pocket, not much is visible but the clip.
- Clip holds pocket firmly, but no so firmly that I'm tearing up my pants when I clip it in place.
- Profile of the knife is thin in the pocket, and is lightweight but not too much so, barely makes a dress pant pocket sag.
- Fast easy opening with the flipper or thumb stud, has a back lock (which I prefer) instead of a liner lock that's back far enough to be out of the way but easy to access, also has a lock on the back lock to lock the blade open or closed.
- Steel and build quality is superb, blade is nice and tight once open with almost no play.
- Black "TiNi" coating on blade is very good, I've used it on some tough stuff and it barely shows any wear.
- Handle material of black one feels like a thin piece of steel, coated seeming with the same stuff the blade is.
- Wood version is just a tiny bit lighter than the black version, very nicely finished.
- These cost about $65-$75ish on Amazon, and come in a variety of blade styles and finishes.
- Mine are the XL model with a 3.25" blade. There's also a smaller SOG Twitch model available with a 2.65" blade.
- ONLY drawbacks I've been able to find are that the handle is a bit wide (not thick) in pocket, narrowing the pocket opening access slightly more than I'm used to (maybe 1/4 inch?). And secondly, because clip allows the knife to sit so low in the pocket, getting it out takes a little bit different technique than I'm used to.
