Just Amazon'ed that same knife, got it in the mail yesterday as a b-day gift for the boy. Off to Coloradogunwrites this afternoon for a little B-day engraving.

I happen to be a Spyderco dealer, and as of 1/2/16, you won't be seeing the same sort of deals on Amazon due to implementation of a MAP policy.
Advertised prices will not be allowed to be more than 40% off of MSRP. Dealers can sell at any price they desire. I can meet pretty much anyone's deal on their knives...
ETA: I'm also qualified as a "Restricted Item" dealer, so if you're active military or LEO, I can order their automatics for you (although they're currently on back order).

My current EDC is a crappy Spyderco Tenacious. I hate that thing. I would carry something nicer if I didn't use my knife as a screwdriver/pry bar/gasket scraper/hammer on a daily basis.
