Default Question re: 308 loading on a Dillon 750

Question for those that have Dillon 650/750...
I have my 750 setup for a variety of pistol calibers and 223 and 300blk and am quite happy with it. If I get it setup for 308, will I be as happy?, or is that really pushing the limits of happiness?

    Thanks

The Blue Press ran a couple of articles about precision loading using a 550. The results were very encouraging. I don't remember for what cartridge they were loading for, but it was as consistent as hand thrown charges. I've thought about loading for some of my centerfire rifles - other than .223, but can't justify the cost of equipment to load those cartridges with the volume I shoot.

If you are happy with the 223, I don't see why you wouldn't be with the 308. I have loaded it without problem on my 650.

I think a lot of people get very excited to trickle powder charges. I like to shoot.

I have found that, in general, an enduringly accurate load is one that is insensitive to powder charge variation.

M118LR and Mk262 semi-clone loads that perform to 1/2 MOA loaded on a Hornady Progressive attest to this.

I don?t think my guns are up to better, and I need to work on my wind calls a lot more.

    9mm - because they don't make a 9.1mm

Not an issue at all. Question is. Are you capable if i can drop 10 rds @ 100 yds in a quarter size hole, with 308. . From ammo loaded on the 650. You should be able to, as well.

Now on a bad day, even the berm isn't worried.

Thanks all. My recently built AR-10 does near MOA at 100 yds with "factory" ammo. I'm not a "precision" shooter, but have plenty of trigger time. I just ordered all the stuff I need to load 308 on the 750. I'll post again once I have some 750 loads to report on.
