This is a well run match, and if you're thinking of trying it out, I'd encourage you to come out and join us. This match gets you five stages, and there are enough berms to spread out the groups and keep things moving. I've seen the attendance really drop off from this match lately and am wondering why. Come on out and give it a try.
I am curious as well. This was the largest match we had for a few years, then it became eclipsed by the Carbine match. Now both are struggling to get 20 people per match. Would love to hear if anyone has any ideas. If you want to PM me, feel free as well. History has shown that once matches fall below 20, they are not going to survive very much longer. Losing any matches is not something I like to see.

I missed a lot of shooting this year, so didn't even know that the Dumont range was closed. I figured that would have bumped up attendance this year, but it doesn't look like it has.

If you live in the central part of the metro area, I think both ranges are about the same drive time. Of course Dumont is way closer for people who live in Golden, but those in Aurora would probably rather go to CRC. The regular crew up there all seem to be nice guys, so I don't think people don't show up because we're a bunch of jerks or anything. Larger matches tend to be more reliable as well since there are more range officers to go around when people have things come up.

My understanding is there won't be a USPSA rifle match on Saturday after all. Is there a way to have a last minute IDPA instead?

Matches are kicking off again in April. Since we don’t have much staff (this is a volunteer sport, so if you want to help out please let us know) tossing together last minute matches is unfortunately not in the cards.

We do look forward to gwtting the season rolling again though and having some fun!

Default Eastern Colorado IDPA - @ Colorado Rifle Club, 4th Sat of the month.

    Hey all!!!

We have a bit of an issue with the April match we have to change the date to 4/21/19 - We know its Easter Sunday, but the range is closed on our normal match day for work bond activities. Instead of canceling the match we have decided to have an Easter Classifier.

We will set up the 5x5 and the PCC classifiers. They are very fast and you can be in and out and back home for Easter activities in no time!

All the usual details are here (Take note there are some minor changes - in bold below):

    ECOIDPA - http://www.ecoidpa.com
    FACEBOOK - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Easte...46824278769370
Hosted at Colorado Rifle Club - http://www.crci.org/
When: 4th Saturday of Each Month - April 21st

    Times:
Setup - 7:00am (Sorry no discount on match fee for setup on this one)
    Registration: Immediately after setup
    Shooters Meeting - 7:30 - 7:45ish
    First Shots - 8 - 8:30am
Last chance to shoot: Register by 10:30am (cutoff time) - Like previously mentioned this is a quick paced match, you can register at 10:30am and still likely be on your way by 11am.

Cost: Match fee $20 Since this match is a classifier, $20 gets you 2 runs of your choice, each additional run is only $5.

Questions: See the website or email the match director at ECOIDPAinfo@gmail.com

Thanks all and see you on the range,

    Hey everyone!!

Just a reminder that we will be hosting the April match this Sunday, April 21.

We will set up the 5x5 and the PCC classifiers. They are very fast and you can be in and out and back home for Easter activities in no time! Bring all your usual gear, but remember that a cover garment is optional for classifiers.
