For sure.

Most duty gear doesn't meet the IDPA requirements... e.g. is wasn't designed for concealment. But you get the option to either run concealable gear or your full duty rig. I'm guessing you would prefer to do the latter to get better training for possible on the job scenarios, but the choice is yours.

ETA: I'm not trying to say that IDPA will train you for the crap you might run into on duty... but could be a possible piece to the puzzle for better training for such scenarios with your duty equipment. Hope it didn't sound like I was trying to equate what we do with the risks you take on in your job. For that I am grateful that you put yourself on the line for all of us.
