Here's my comment to both of our Senators. Due to the fact that on this day you voted to infringe on the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, I feel that you no longer, nor have you in the past, nor, I assume, will you in the future, represent the majority of Coloradans, I will do everything that I can to ensure you will not be re-elected.

    Let's play the long game.

    Sixteen republican senators;

    a. Sold us down the river.
    b. Voted to allow the bill onto the floor for debate.

Get the bill out there for debate. See what floats to the top and what sinks. Force the sponsors to defend this steamy pile of "legislation".

    I'm hoping it's answer b anyway.

    NRA not doing enough?
Just saw this posted to their FB page- and just did a little quick glance, this issue has dominated their page for about 3 days (I dare not scroll further as the dozens in just 3 days was enough).
    National Rifle Association

Today, the U.S. Senate voted 68 to 31 on a procedural measure to begin consideration of a proposed gun control law. Please continue to contact your Senators in opposition to any anti-gun proposals, and encourage your family, friends, and fellow firearm owners to do the same! Write your Reps atwww.nraila.org/writeyourreps or call 202-224-3121.

If all these different gun rights groups would work together instead of bashing each other, maybe more would get done... This is why RMGO, NAGR, and Dudley won't see any of my money, and haven't in the past.

I may not be happy with all of the NRAs decisions, but they're still our strongest voice out there...

You bring two really good points worth rehashing, IMHO.
    1) This is what they did in the last election. Divide, divide, divide us. And conservatives/republicans/libertarians/whatever all went along with it. It worked.
    2) The dems have this "big tent" but within it are tons of natural divisions on various points they always seem to get past to unite and win. They sucker in high-earning single women or gays on reproductive stuff or gay marriage all the while ignoring how much they waste on entitlements (that those same women generally would not be for.) They love minorities, but minorities tend to be very much against gay marriage.

The dems get past BIG wedge issues within their "tent" but we divide over the smallest crap.

Just sent this PM to Dudley:

    Mr. Brown,
Over the years I have ignored most of your NRA bashing, but the time has come for me to say something.

At this critical point in our nation's history, I would think that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" might be a bit more worthwhile than continuing your stance of alienation against the NRA. We, as Constitutional defenders, have more than enough enemies without fighting amongst ourselves.

Even if we don't all see eye-to-eye, I believe there is more that unites us than divides us.

I have never joined or financially contributed to RMGO and your attitude of continually striking out against the NRA is the biggest reason. You seem petty, selfserving and bitter.

Most of the alert emails I get form you come AFTER I have already received and alert from the NRA or NRA-ILA. Couple that with some downright ..... inaccuracies and falsehoods in some of your postings, and I am just about to the point of unsubscribing from your emails.

I would hope that you take this criticism constructively and refocus your energies towards working with the NRA against our common enemies.

While the NRA is not perfect and I do not agree with everything they do or don't do, we are still fighting the same fight. Hopefully you will see the value and sense in joining forces rather than continuing your divisive diatribe. We can do more together than separate.

    Thank you.

Anyone else notice the lack of rebuttal from Dudley? -he probably spams every gun forum in existence. No interaction or backing up claims, just sky-is-falling, give me money nonsense. I'll admit, I foolishly joined RMGO a few months ago in hopes of warding off the CO legislation that is now moving forward as I felt that donating to every cause was needed. However, upon reflection, Dudley doesn't do squat but line his own pockets by bashing entities with similar goals. My money was ill-spent, it won't happen again.
