I'm another tight ass. I run two sets of wheels, one set for summer tires and the other for winter, and just last year I bought my first brand new set of tires in like, forever just because I couldn't find a good used set at the time. Good deals are pretty easy to find on CL.
I bought some used tires for my car while a broke-ass college student in the 90's. I also have some retreads on my truck- 33x12.50R16.5 is kinda an odd size.
i'd be just as concerned about a $350 set of snows

Craigslist skins henceforth.
I buy both new and used.
It really depends on how common the size is your are looking for but $350 for a brand new set doesn’t seem bad at all. That’s not even one tire on my bro-dozer Duramax lol.
I have gotten a couple sets of Craigslist. I found a set of wheels and snow tires for my wife’s car for $500, that had tons of tread left. She used them for 2 or 3 seasons with no problems.
If you keep your eye out, you can find sets for a fraction of what you would buy new that are barely used. If the list what they paid at discount and want 90% of that, keep looking.
