AR15 remove semi-automatic system

The barrel.
Many precision bolt guns have a thicker barrel. Ar15 or some ar10 barrels are usually (not always) thicker.

But here goes:
OP: 400 meters is mid range for an AR......
You'd gain nothing in shutting the gas off.
I shoot my semi out to 1000yds.

I sent the OP a PM. I suspect that we are dealing with a bot and my finger is hovering over the ban button.

Dead simple, cheap and easy - snip end of gas tube and reinstall upside down - this blocks the gas port with a $10 easily-replaced part if you ever want to restore it.
