Yup, I'm a big fan. I currently carry a 3" kimber, but that is being traded for a Wilson. Woo Hoo! Also have a Kimber Warrior and a Les Baer TRS. Unfortunately, all my shooting friends are in love with the various plastic pistols, so it's hard to find anyone to share my interest with. Maybe someday they will see the light.
I absolutely love shooting my Springfield 1911 A-1 It feels so nice in the palm of your hand. I put on some tritium night sights and it's just perfect for me. Despite trying alternatives over the years such as the Smith M645 and M4506, the SIG P220, the Glock G21 and the XD45 I keep coming back to the full size 1911. Its still the best gun in a 45acp despite its age.

Series 70 or series 80?
I feel my full size single stack 1911s are the epitome of what a fighting
handgun should be. I keep trying different things but still keep coming back to the government 1911. I still have other types of 45 ACPs (a
SIG P220, Smith M4506, XD45) but I still always go to the 1911.
