This thread is doing that weird secret page you can't get to thing...
& why I'm the first & second post on it is even stranger than before...
It's the chickens.
They're taking over.
My hens are going gang busters 3-4 a day with 4 hens we have one that pecks the air sac side of her egg. I know which one it is and she is very low on the totem pole
though she has never broken the membrane but every couple days it’s cracked, they have a dedicated oyster shell feeder and I sprinkle some on the ground. We put up curtains over the nest boxes last week and it reduced the cracked egg. She is also the hen that lolly gags in the box I bet she goes broody
My lowest totem pole hen lays under one of the poop chutes opposite of the nesting boxes. She was laying in the furthest corner of the coop that I can't reach, so I had to block it off so she can't get there. She lays right next to one of the removable walls. I'm interested to see if she goes into the nesting box once I take the walls off again in about a month.
Why do you have nesting boxes blocked off?
Sorry, I wasn't clear. Let me get some pictures to illustrate.
Okay, next boxes are on the left where everyone else lays (even the chicken that only pretends every day), and the bottom hen lays her eggs all the way on the right under that ramp. The part I now have blocked off is under the long ramp, behind that gutter. She was laying back there and I couldn't reach the eggs without going prone in shit.

Have you looked at Hubitat?
Seems ST has reliability issues according to some?
I'm using Wink and starting to tire of their issues (we had a long outage last week), though it's super easy to setup and run and is otherwise solid. Only problem I'd have now moving to Hubitat since ditching my POS relays is moving to Hubitat would mean buying not only their hub (Raspberry Pi based) but I'd also have to buy a Lutron Hub Pro (that isn't needed with Wink) to support all the Lutron switches (lots) that I have.
We've had Smartthings for about 3 1/2 years. It's had just a few hiccups in that time and nothing major. I've heard of some issues with ST's, but I'm reluctant to change since I have about 50 things hooked up to it. For a bit, we had issues with it recognizing presence of smartphones, but that has improved over the past 6 months. I haven't had an outage from their end that lasted more than a couple of hours. I feel it's been fairly reliable and I'm used to the system.
