My issues seemed to be the mag/filet piece interaction. Some mags would catch on the bottom edge of the filet piece (opposite the ejection port) on my rifle. Johnathan suggested I get the filet to fit ight. Tweaked the edges so that it fit snug and had zero movement. The mags didn't interfere anymore and all mine work.
Hoser, how did you clean them up? After this weekend dust storm, I think I have scoured the mags pretty well. I had three loaded mags out that I had to just throw back in the rifle case because the round's wax had just picked up too much grit and dust.
ETA: Where are all the 40Xs? I haven't seen a CMP rifle for sale anywhere for awhile. Seeing Hoser's 40X zoo, I got the bug for another one.

Some of my followers had a bit of flashing from the mold. Just a few swipes with a file and a few passes with a scotchbrite wheel and they were all better. I have 10 mags. I make sure I take a different mag out each time to be sure I keep looking for issues.
The last 40X that I saw was on SnipersHide a month or so ago. I jumped on it. They are not as common as they were a few years back thats for sure.

Ha! Just got mine back from MCR. Put it all back together and am hoping to get out tomorrow. It took some fiddling with the extractors to get it to feed, but that was pretty easy. Can't wait to shoot it.

Jonathan Elrod recently finished up my last two 40X repeater conversions.
It was a bit chilly but not a lot of wind.
This rifle was an absolute hammer before the conversion and it still is.
This one is a Lilja titebore barrel chambered with an EPS Match reamer. S&B 12-50 and an AI chassis. I am still using my Shark 308 suppressor just to keep the weight and feel the same as my AXMC in 243.
Below is five shots at 220 yards using a 2014 lot of Eley Match. The plate is 5 inches across the flats so thats about a 1.5 - 1.75 inch group, four being inside an inch or so.

Very nice Hoser! That has to be silly quiet with the 308 can.
Tim, shoot yours yesterday?

Yeah, shot it in the wind. I had two magazines that didn't feed right. Bullets were nosediving into the front of the mag. I fiddled with the springs and got them running. I'm worried the bullet point is getting mashed. The feeding seems a little rough, though it's pretty reliable. I need to get it indoors at the OTC to see if accuracy has been affected. It was shooting into 7/8" at 100 in a pretty stiff wind, so I think it's probably fine. Sometimes my OCD has it's way with me though, and I have to go test it.
