Archery lopes here as well in south park lots of em and no one hunts em so chances are better.
Elk only for cow,s 3rd rifle...
what area are you putting in for moose? I thought once you had 3 points you had a decent chance...you have 12?
Didn't know there was lopes in south park....where at? I have always gone to sterling or far northwest.
after your first 3 points then they become "weighted" points, 12 years later stil shit.
even putting in for Cow first choice has no results.
Hell I had one in my yard yesterday.
In South Park there is unit 51 Rienicker Ridge and alot of State land along 9 and then around Antero, seen some real nice bucks around there.
Got 2 shots last year with the bow near the ridge. they be fast suckers.
My dad actually drew a moose tag ~8 years ago. Muzzle loader. He only put in for 7 years I think. Not sure what area, but I can ask for you. And yes, he got one.
Still waiting to hear about my elk tag for this year...
Lots of 'lopes in South Park. I always see tons of them from Kenosha Pass on 285 into Fairplay, then again on 40 (I think?) as you come up on Spinney and Eleven Mile Reservoirs. Most of them are on private land, but there are some SWAs (Tomahawk is one, I think) in between 285 and 40. There are at least 2 entrances along Elkhorn...Elkhorn Mtn. Road...something like that...it runs between 285 and 40 a few miles S or W for that matter on 285 from Jefferson.
