Where is this magical "free range off hwy 7" that might be near Erie? If I found this place it would be awesome!

If there's a "free" range around where you can shoot to 1000 yards, I'd bet it's a closely guarded secret on private land. Even at Ben Lomond, it only goes to 600 yards.

"free range" is what I call public land that people shoot on.
Its what this site calls the North range, HWY 7 past lyons, about 20 minutes up the road, just before hwy 72, if you get to 72 turn around and go back 100 yrds.
Its 100yds at the main are, out to about 250 over to one side.


Let me clarify my request, the "closest" range to Thornton that may be 500-1000 yds.
