I just did the intake manifold gasket on my 99. And by I mean "I did" I mean I tried to do it and the amount of work was just more than I could finish on my own. What a nightmare! I hear though that you only have to change it once and then it'll be set for the life of the motor. How many miles do you have on yours?

I just did a new intake on my '03 suburban, I've only got 70,000 miles. When you pull your intake put a straight edge on it, most of the time it's warped and gaskets alone won't solve the leaking.

Don't they not put any sealer around the gasket from the factory? I have read that a large part of the problem comes from that. So if you put sealer in when you change them out it should be good to go.

Congrats! Is that an SF or a full-size?

I'm carrying a 20 in the winter and a 19 in the summer now and I know I'm going to have a hard time switching out at the end of this spring.

TSP was out of the AKM4 micro rig so I canceled the order and picked up PIG UCR instead.

Looks like BPOutfitters has them in stock? Believe they are the same thing on their website.
