Firearm: Glock 19 GEN4 OD Green (magazine catch has been moved for a lefty)
    Location: Greeley, CO
    Date: 4-14-16

Someone broke into my truck last night and snagged my G19 out of it. Police report is made and I will have the serial number later tonight. BOLO please.

    Thanks

Half or more of last few pages are guns left in vehicles. Whyyyy are these being left in porbably the most likely place to be burgled.

Stupidity is my reason. I got home late last night, had my hands and arms full of crap going into the house and forgot about it. Woke up this morning realizing I left it in the truck all night thinking "it should be fine." The one time I forgot it, it got swiped.

That's crazy that it happened the one night you left it. That's some bad luck.

Bad luck or a neighbous kid who has seen you several times as you remove your piece from the car? Anyone else hit on the block?

It always seems to happen that way doesn't it? Lesson learned.

When the detective and officer arrived a lady walked up and asked what was going on. I told her my truck was broke into and some items were stolen. She then said "Oh well mine was broken into last night too, I just never called it in." The officer asked why and she said "because nothing was taken so no reason to call it in." Her and I are the only two that I know of but it sounded like they were more in our complex.

There have been an influx of car break-in's in my area too. Few weeks ago, 20 some cars got hit. There has also been some cars stolen in my area too lately. The migration to Colorado has it's downsides.

I'll keep my eye out for you. I hope they find it.

Thank you! I am hoping they picked up the scum bags last night somewhere and have it but wish in one hand and shit in the other. Now I have to find another G19 Gen4 in OD so I can complete my 9mm glock collection again.

Resurrecting this as it crossed my mind today. No luck in returning my glock but what is the process? Will they notify me once they find it? Any benefit in calling in and checking status on my case number?
