Spent the morning at the beach with the family, and now the M-I-L is back on a plane headed for Denver. Life is good.

I can still remember when smokin' grass was badass, nasty, illegal, daring, etc. etc. etc....granted, that was in the early to mid '70's. I think. Things are a bit hazy there...

Heavy day today. I never thought I'd actually run while carrying a ladder, but I'm finding that I do that more and more often when schedules are tight.

Oh yeah, and I could have died today. We were looking for a leak toward the edge of a 3-story condo. I was walking to the edge and noticed the deck felt spongy as I started to put my foot down. I pulled my foot back, rebalanced, and found that there was NO decking at all. If I would have stepped into that hole, I have no doubt I would have pitched head first right off the edge of the roof. Water had rotted the decking out from under the shingle and the shingles were still in tact over the hole, so you couldn't see it.
