    Price range?

Single shot, box or tube magazine preference?

Are you going to shoot it stock or do you routinely double the price of the rifle in accessories?

Check rimfirecentral.com They have fanbois for everything and depending on who you ask you will either be dead wrong or welcomed with open arms.

I do like the CZ 455 and having the option to easily swap out a match grade target barrel for the original barrel. If you already have a 10/22, the RAR lets you use the mags you already have. Savage and Marlin options are plentiful and you could get two for the price of on 455 or five or six for the price of a 40X or Annie.

If this is your first, get a Marlin 981 and shoot a lot.

I've got 2 Ruger American predators, one in .22lr and one in .17 HMR. I will probably add one in .22 mag as well. On an indoor range I've shot sub MOA 5 shot groups at 100 yards with the .22lr, very accurate and barrel is already threaded for a can.

Thanks for all the feedback. I see that the cz is well regarded, and the ruger has the benefit of reusing mags. I"ll take a look at some of these. Thank you.

Unless you want something better then I would get an Anschutz.

When I send out the results from our precision rimfire match I try to always include what rifle people were using and what ammo.

CZ, Remington and Anschutz are consistently at the top of the heap for bolt guns. A lot has to do with the trigger puller, but it lets people get an idea of what works.

CZ 455 is a good choice, many different variations. The last CZ I bought has the synthetic stock, matt finish, 16 inch barrel and is threaded. Dang thing out shoots all my other 22 rifles except for the pre-war Mauser.

We've had a great experience with our Ruger American Rimfire. We've been shooting tight groups at 100 yards with $27 Walmart Bushnell 4x scope. It utilizes Ruger 10/22 magazines which work great if you avoid certain problematic hollow points.
