    I'd say your best/only bet is taking some pistol/carbine courses. I used to set up some different targets and practice "run n gun" and elevated heart rate shooting, in some of the forests near Denver, but most of those places are either closed to shooting, overran by the "homeless", or filled with irresponsible shooters. Good luck, shooting is not what it used to be in this area.

    ETA: Irving mentioned an avenue I forgot to list, which I've also been meaning to get involved with.
