Default Plumber needed to install gas hot water heater.

Looking for a plumber to install new hot water heater at my place in Evergreen as I prepare to sell. Already have heater and need to add in an expansion tank.

Would prefer to give business to anyone here that's qualified.

I'll jump in. Need two replaced in Boulder as well. First set lasted 20 years, second set (GE) maybe 5-6 years.

From my own recent experience, no one wants to touch it if you already bought your own water heater. I contacted plumbers for the exact same job, and only two bothered to come by to look at it, and neither of those would give me an estimate. They'd be happy to SELL me a water heater that they'd then put in, making retail markup on the heater and having full control of the job. Estimates for that were a fairly uniform $1200 for a 40gal domestic gas water heater.

I eventually had to return the heater I'd already bought, for a refund, and bought one with installation through Lowe's, that came in around $900 after taxes. ('bout $500 for the heater, $400 for parts, labor and pulling the permit)

I wish you luck and better experiences than I had here in the Springs.

Had the same problem. HD wanted to install the hot water for $900+. Plumbing companies quoted $1200+. Dune Crazy did mine for a ridiculous price that could not be beet.
