Hey, hey now... you politely ask without force or threats and I may just give it to you to be nice. You try to take by force or demand and I will escalate! HAHA.

    HAHA, Rgr that!

Back on topic: I've seen a few bears in my relative short time in Colorado. However, they've all been small black bears... Are they really worth hunting? Do you eat the meat and tan the skin on something that small? I've yet to see anything larger than say, 400lbs or so.

They don't get very big around here. They still make a pretty rug and bear meat is OK, just really greasy.

I have yet to see a bear in Colorado, granted i've only lived near the Mountains for 5 years. I read somewhere, there was talk awhile back about re-introducing the Grizzley to Colorado, and the DOW expressed strong feelings against it.

They are afraid that to many hippies will get eaten, I'm personally for it.

Agreed, I like the idea. I need more of a reason for owning my 45-70, oh wait, it's a blast to shoot, that's enough of a reason right?

Rgr, I've tried bear meat. Prefer elk/moose/venison. I'm sure they make a pretty rug. Don't know, I've been hunting, field dressed a kill, etc. Just have yet to see/feel the allure.

I'd love to have a bear rug, but the wifey has veto power, lol.

I've only been here a little over a year now and I've seen about three. All little blackies. I wouldn't mind if they reintro'ed the Griz.

My cousins have seen bears in or near Colorado Springs, right along I-25 actually. Gloria is terrified of bears and has seen one or two on local camping trips.
