Does Ford have an RPO code sticker on them like GM does ?

I was able to get all the options on the commuter 2007 Cobalt that I purchased several months ago from the RPO sticker.

You just need to photograph the sticker if it has one and look online for the codes to the options you are looking for, or know the code (s) you are looking for when you go looking at trucks.
My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and it stinks more than mine.

They don't. There may or may not be a build sheet somewhere on the vehicle, but it's usually in some obscure place like above the fuel tank or under the carpet somewhere.

You can use the vin to download and review the as-built data. This is all the data that sets options in the PCM, body control module, cluster, etc.

On my 14, you look at module code 720-01-01 in the cluster. 10th digit. If character is 2, the cluster is set to recognize the 36 gal tank

Again, I can’t say how easy this is to figure out using my above post. I bought 40 ford trucks last year and spec’d them all out using the build sheets.

If I get really bored tomorrow I can take a picture under my Ford with the 36 gallon tank and my new Ford with the 23 gallon tank to see how easy it is to tell by looking at the tanks.

    YES! Thank you!

    That line reads 2805 5400 00AC

36 gallon tank confirmed, I think.

    Are you a Ford technician?

No. Just have to unbreak my Fords from time to time. I use the as-built info to modify module settings in modules to enable features. Using Forscan, I can enable fogs and brights at the same time, enable/disable DRL, add some audio settings, change tire size, enable secure idle, etc.

Here's some of the stuff you can change
