Maybe we should start a thread about, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

I guess I don't have to come up with an answer if I refuse to grow up.

Before DJT was President he said something that caught my ear, 'you either work for the dollar or you work for yourself'. He went on to explain that people should understand what they do for employment, they either do for money like most of us, or they do it for themselves like someone who writes music or otherwise creates from themselves.
I've used that line against my reasoning on employment (am I doing this for money or for me) and found it be very helpful in making decisions I can support.

Completely accidental. I feel like I'm constantly surrounded by assholes, so I decided to just lean in and commit.

Pipe fitters are always looking for someone. But it is union, but not that bad. I get to be outside almost every single day and new places always. Yesterday I hit 4 jobs in 4 towns. But starting as an apprentice is about 16$/ hour

I do not know anyone who got out of IT and pursue a new career even at their middle age.

Are jobs billed by time, or would you just be working 40 hour weeks and it breaks down to a $16/hr to start?
