Needed new cooler pads for one of our Breezair evaporative coolers. I pushed the original pads to 10 years, too long for efficient cooling. Replaced the other unit pads at 8 years. They are projected to last 5-8 years.
This time I opted to try the aftermarket Dial manufacturing brand made in Mexico. Pleasantly surprised these were as good and appear to be better than the OEM Breezair Chillcel pads. $130 for the set of four vs. $313 from the local distributor-dealer protection network. An easy job to install them myself saving another $250. Thanks to Peach Tree Hardware in Grand Junction!
Replacing our old Essick metal box coolers with Breezair coolers was the best investment we ever made on our home. This will be our 11th year of use with the Breezair coolers. I'll get them operating tomorrow as the temp hits 82 in Palisade tomorrow.

I bought a Towlie towel. If you don't know, you don't know.
I've been waiting since the bogus phone number to get one. I now have the perfect piece of man cave memorabilia for me.
New cabinets for the kitchen... New countertops (on order) for the kitchen... New walls for the kitchen... New floors for the kitchen (and the rest of the house)... New outlets for the kitchen... New door between the laundry/utility room and kitchen... New dishwasher for the kitchen... New stove (not pictured) for the kitchen... I've been busy with this remodel for the last month and a half. Almost done. Just a little trim left on the cabinets and around the window and door and a little more staining and sealing.
Before...just started tearing stuff out for the floors:
After...end of the day yesterday. Almost done:

Looks awesome!. What is interesting to me is that so many people are getting rid of the wood cabinets and replacing them with black or gray. Bailey did the opposite. LOVE the wood look. Much more cozy and home like feeling.

Welcome to home ownership! Maintenance, repair, replacement and remodeling are all part of the joy. For a capable do it yourselfer like you it's simply part of living and it sure beats renting. There's nothing you can't do and you'll do just fine.
Once you get good at it buy another home, rent out the other(s), and start building real wealth.
