    Default 1911 smith/armorer open Sunday

    Dumbass of the year here-have a jammed mainspring housing I can?t remove, need help today if anyone knows of one open in the Denver area. Aarrgghh!!!

    How does one manage to do that?

    Gonna guess sear spring shifted out of its slot while assembling and locked it up tighter than Dicks hatband. Brass punch and hammer time.

    Haha, yup! I’ve swapped out countless msh over the years and this is the first time I had my head up my ass when I did one lol. I’m going to see a smith on Wednesday for an unrelated reason so I’ll just bring it along and let a pro handle it.

    And my Glock 19M is just fine but my 1911s have a soul
