    Yes, private land only tags often have longer seasons associated with them. The idea behind private land tags is that they are supposedly for landowners to use to cull deer/elk on their property as well as make up for the fact that private land doesn’t get the hunting pressure that public does. The longer season makes up for fewer hunters.
