The 7mm-08 really is sweet. Developed in 2008, it's a necked down .308 that shoots faster and flatter than the .308, and when suppressed, the recoil, muzzle rise and blast are contained so that it's very soft shooting.

The 7mm-08 was on the scene by 1958, and removed from Wildcat status by Remington in 1980.
