Anyone selling into Colorado now already has to collect State, County and city sales tax and pay it to the appropriate office.
The worst part is the county and city sales tax as you have to track down where to send it, and in some cases pay for a sales tax license.
It is bad enough on the collection logistics, the legislature should have made a central place to pay it to for all the local taxes.

Yeah, I collect tax in multiple jurisdictions, it?s a serious pain in the ass and now have to pay my accountant to deal with it, I agree that they should have forced every jurisdiction to go through a single collection portal. Don?t forget the $.29 delivery fees just to add insult to injury.

That said, any retailer that sells in to Colorado that does not have a physical presence in the state does not need to collect sales tax if they sell less than $100k worth of product in to the state in a year.

Why is Colorado charging a retail delivery fee?
The Colorado Legislature enacted the retail delivery fee in 2021 to fund transportation. Revenue from the fee goes to the Highway Users Tax Fund, the Multimodal Transportation and Mitigation Options Fund, and five enterprises: Bridge and Tunnel Enterprise.

And, don't you find the Highways, the transportation choices and ability, and the bridges and tunnels in better shape?
