Just read the rifle they believe used was a .30 cal Mauser. Not what I was expecting.

Or it could have been a hunting rifle the shooter felt was so old it would be untraceable. Non-shooters are the web are going nuts over the 200 yard distance but I don't think that's an unreasonable distance for a hunter. It wouldn't even surprise me if the shooter was going for a head shot and got Kirk in the jugular by mistake.

Meanwhile, the Leftists that realize they can't openly celebrate this are saying, "but what about the Minnesota couple gunned down in their home?" or "but what about the school shooting the same day?"

No need to stoop to their level. Kirk's assassination brings to mind Obi-Wan telling Vader that he'll just be stronger than ever.

In the video it looks like he was hit in the bullet proof vest he was wearing and it ricocheted up and in the throat...

I'm not sure if it was soft or hard armor but another theory is that it was spalling from the plate that came up and hit him in the throat. Maybe a glancing shot that hit the edge of the plate?

Either way it looks like it was a chest shot that hit the target/plate based on how his shirt moved but unfortunately found a way to still kill him...

Fucking terrible and I'm so pissed right now.
