Ohh $#@% sorry, I guess if a mod is on they can delete this.
I just can't believe how fast this is catching, that's all.
It got everyone's attention and that is a good thing.I will leave this here for awhile.
Almost anything that makes "joe average" sit up and do something is good.
I see you running, tell me what your running from
Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.
That's the CDC's cover-all-bases emergency list, but what they forgot to put on there is how to defend yourself if you're discovered or have to move (which being a moving target has it's advantages and disadvantages). My recommendations would include:
Rifle (med-large caliber: ARs and AKs work best especially if you have an ability to carry lots of ammo- tactical vest with 6 or more slots for 30-rnd mags)
Back up gun- pistol preferred since shotguns are really only good at close range.
Clothing that's non-restrictive and won't catch on stuff
Good footwear you can run in, maneuver in, and durable.
Training... big time! This is perhaps the most useful. I'm not saying train for fighting zombies, just be accurate and proficient in your guns and know how to use something like a blunt fighting weapon or blade for those last resort situations.
Access to a sturdy vehicle. My plan is to acquire either an up-armored HMMWV or MRAP from Ft. Carson, decent range, secure, and they are menacing "authority" vehicles that'll inspire survivors help isn't laying down.
I have my just-in-case "go bag" for such an occurrance, but it's not limited to zombies, it's any type of "loss of infrastructure and society."
Heard this morning that if you shoot the zombie in the head, sometimes the brain will crawl out and then you have to shoot it in order to kill it.
Make sure of your target and kill the SOB's brain.
