Most any range indoor or outdoor is going to be slow and/or quiet if you go in the late morning on a weekday.

Blucore's probably the best bet, and it's right there in Lakewood. Plus, training, and training women, is their specialty. I'm sure they'd make it a good experience for both of you. http://blucoreshootingcenter.com/

It's just been too damn hot to shoot outdoors and have any fun. I went to BLGC on the 4th and fried.

I've been there once and it was a horrible experience. A sample size of one, admittedly. It's a last resort.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Any woman that wants to go shooting has a certain amount of hotness in my book!

My experience has been much different, I've always had miles of BLM out my back door until moving to Denver. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Another vote for Shootist, the only thing is that there's no ventilation of any kind but the range officers are pretty cool there.

Agreed. I usually hit up the indoor range at 10am when they open mid week. Might be 1 other person in there.

I would spend some time somewhere not at the range and go over some basic firearm handling stuff before I hit the range if I were you. Just my opinion. Maybe get her/him familiar with the function of the firearm(s) you are going to be shooting and then take the next step to the range once alittle more comfortable with the operation/handling.
Sorry I dont have a private range for you.
