    If I would have seen it it 3rd elk season on my last day hunting, It would be going threw the hamburger machine now.

    anyone old enough to remember being able to harvest an elk/deer for camp meat?

    Those young ones are by far the best eating.

    Hard to tell the size, it looks pretty decent, maybe a yearling. I'd take it...they're very tender. I shot a yearling (looked big in the scope at 75yds...lol) once, and even the round steaks were cut with your fork tender. Best meat I've ever had!

    Best elk I ever shot was a yearling that was still with mama.
