+1, Mrs bo been researching them, confirmed effective units have had a price tag that made me cringe.

Keep your eye out on used units. I actually bought ours used from a boulderite for $125 in excellent shape and it's the newest edition with longer filter life. I did buy all new filters for it though which are very pricey. We got all 3 filters for $330, normally $400-$500...they're supposed to last 2ish years or so. Just for comparison, this unit with filters runs $900

The cost of an air purifier versus an adult or child being able to breath without issue. Can't put a price on that.

I sell lots of steam humidifiers and Reme halo purifiers. Goes in the duct work so it's not isolated to one room.

If I had a bigger house, this would probably be the route we'd go but the IQAir HealthPro Plus covers up to 1125sqft. My ranch style house is that size as we're not in the basement ever.....that should be my next purchase, finishing the remodel down there

I have one and it works really well. They have a new completed round counter that I'm ordering today.
