I don?t we (collectively) just roll up hard and heavy on the new people.

I do think we tend to dog pile on the new guys when it seems they may be deserving of it.

We do, but I wish we didn't. We all want this site to grow and can only do this with new members. I we run them all off, the site stagnates.

In the case of this member and his post, we could have simply said something like "While we can appreciate your efforts to remain law-abiding, advertising these specific actions to this audience isn't advisable" and just left it at that.
