    I personally like the Eton brand radios. As a plus the Eton Scorpion has a bottle opener for "emergencies" .

    I always thought that was the best time. As to the radios I have both my old DX-440 and a Kaito 1102. For a cheap all band that winds up I would suggest the Kaito KA007.

    I bought an Eton Scorpion. It functions well. If the battery is dead you have to crank constantly while listening to WB. Charges good in direct sunlight.

    If any of you are Active Duty or have access to AAFES.com I got mine for $35 there a few months ago.

    EDIT: The Eton Microlink is listed 34.95 currently.
