Just got two of the new Ruger/Samson A-TM folding stocks. Overall, it's hard to tell it's not an original 80s vintage stock. They're very nicely done. The folding butt-plate on one doesn't properly lock to the stud on the side of the stock but I think I'll try to remedy that myself rather than send it back. They're ready to drop in the barreled action from your rifle...everything's included and installed. Very easy swap. The hard part is gonna be digging the Mini out of the back of the safe. Wish they were available in blue. I have a blued GB...may put some sort of finish on one of these to match the rifle. A blued one is supposed to be in the works.

Both of those style stocks are the reason I don't like to have breast pockets on shirts.

NO RANGE FOR YOU!!!.....NEXT!!!
Just purchased it today, so i haven't fired it yet. The EPD is a "can" that attaches to another mount, that threads on to the bbl. The "EPD" can be removed by hand, the mount, needs a 5/8" wrench to remove. I work at the range this weekend, so probably have some time to road test it. if not there's usually a few shooters who don't mind trying a different gun.

Related note on the smoker discussion: Pit Boss Pro 1100 is holding up well. I did a salmon smoke last weekend during the cold and held at 140? +/- 5 for hours at P4. Mid summer I can hold as low as 155 with about the same variation. Some variation across the broad surface but I mostly make up for that with a water pan over the searing plate, leaving just slight variation from the far left to the far right. Never had an auger jam. The biggest perk is tremendously bigger cook area than most other smokers... but it is obviously less expensive so among other things, you get less "neighbor cred", which I care nothing for.
