I passed both Tech and General. They offered me the Extra and chose to hold off.

Odd part was there were a bunch of questions that I never saw in the pool questions. Passing is passing, but after seeing the second or third question I didn't recognize almost caused me to

I now have my license to learn. I will post up when my call sign shows up on the website to give people an idea on how long the paperwork is taking.

Have to ask, whats with the sudden increase in interest in ham radio, and even echolink? Just curious what compelled many of you to get into it, or start studying this year, and not last year?

Funds went up, prices went down. At least that was part of it. Plus, more people I wanted to potentially talk to got radios. No point of having a radio if you have no one to talk to and I'm not interested in making new friends.
